The Best Locations in London for Business Headshots (and Why They Work)
A good headshot isn’t just about a flattering angle and decent lighting — the backdrop does a lot of heavy lifting. It sets the mood, frames your personality, and can even hint at your industry.
London is packed with great photo spots, but not all of them work for business portraits. Over the years, I’ve tested everything from boardrooms to back alleys. Here are my go-to locations that always deliver.
1. Your Office (With a Little Styling)
Nothing says “authentic” like your actual workspace — especially if you’re going for personal branding.
We can keep the vibe professional but still make it yours: clean backgrounds, a tidy desk, a plant or two. And yes, we’ll hide the 45 spare charging cables.
2. The Studio
My studio sessions are a favourite for business leaders who want a timeless, distraction-free look.
Controlled lighting = perfect skin tones, flattering shadows, and zero weather worries. We can go from classic white background to moody editorial in minutes.
3. The City of London
Think glass, steel, and a skyline that means business. Areas like Bank, Bishopsgate, or Canary Wharf give a crisp, modern backdrop that screams “professional” without being bland.
4. West End Streets
If you want something polished but less corporate, the West End’s architecture delivers — stone facades, character-filled doorways, and natural light bouncing around in all the right ways.
5. Green SpaceS
Yes, even for business portraits. A touch of nature softens the image and makes you look approachable. St. James’s Park and Regent’s Park have clean, open backgrounds that keep the focus on you.
6. Client Spaces
If you’re a consultant, speaker, or founder, shooting in spaces you work in — a hotel lobby, a co-working space, or a client’s office — adds authenticity and story to your images.
Pro tip: I often combine 2–3 locations in one session so you get variety. That way your LinkedIn, website, and press shots don’t all look like they came from the same afternoon (even if they did).
London has endless backdrops, but the right one depends on the message you want your image to send. Whether you want sharp and corporate, warm and creative, or a mix of both, I can help you find the perfect spot.
